Rhythm Group repairs, and a full Orchestral Backing
was overdubbed to Charro between November
25 and 27.
On the original release of Let's Forget About
The Stars on the 'Let's Be Friends' LP and
later on 'The U.S. Male' LP, there is a distinct
piano that can be heard over the bridge of the
song which is missing on the 'Double Features'
mix. Strangely, the U.S. CD release of 'Let's
Be Friends' from 2007 also uses the 'Double Features'
mix instead of the original mix.
In March of 2007, Sony decided to go through all of Elvis' masters. They retransferred everything and remastered all tracks including repairing as many clicks, pops, bad edits and dropouts as they could. They have used these newly mastered recordings on their new releases since 2007 including budget soundtracks, 'Legacy' releases, the 30 disc 'Complete Elvis Presley Masters' collection and the Franklin Mint package. The 2007 remaster of Let's Forget
About The Stars uses the original LP mix with
piano.
