The record version of The Bullfighter Was
a Lady is listed as being spliced from takes
9 and 7. However the acetate version on "The
Elvis Acetates Volume 1" (Memory) listed
as take 9, does not reveal any unique parts. This
may actually be the spliced master but with the
count-in for take 9, as sometimes happens when
acetates are cut, or maybe the master wasn't spliced
at all.
An extended (5:10) mix of Bossa Nova Baby
was released on a 12" Single in March 1987,
and can also be found on the bootleg "Loose
Ends Volume 3".
In March of 2007, Sony decided to go through all of Elvis' masters. They retransferred everything and remastered all tracks including repairing as many clicks, pops, bad edits and dropouts as they could. They have used these newly mastered recordings on their new releases since 2007 including budget soundtracks, 'Legacy' releases, the 30 disc 'Complete Elvis Presley Masters' collection and the Franklin Mint package.
