I Got Lucky (First Version - M5) on 'Silver
Screen Stereo' (FTD) is listed as Alternate Master,
but this is actually Take 1. We get Take 1 again
on FTD's 'Kid Galahad' soundtrack (with count-in),
along with the correct Alternate Master (Take
6), but it is wrongly listed in the "In &
Outakes" section and also 'Sessions III'
that Take 6 was on 'Silver Screen Stereo'.
Some of the original mono masters as first released
in 1962 were shortened for release. They are released
in their original form on 'Follow That Dream (FTD)'
along with the longer stereo masters as first
released on 'Double Features'. On Sony's 'Complete
Elvis Presley Masters' collection and the Franklin
Mint set they are released in their original edited
form but in stereo.
In March of 2007, Sony decided to go through all of Elvis' masters. They retransferred everything and remastered all tracks including repairing as many clicks, pops, bad edits and dropouts as they could. They have used these newly mastered recordings on their new releases since 2007 including budget soundtracks, 'Legacy' releases, the 30 disc 'Complete Elvis Presley Masters' collection and the Franklin Mint package.
